The methods
The IHK method includes recognized techniques for creating paintings and works that are independent. Paintings and works are not interpreted or psychologically analyzed. Working with paintings and sculptures is about communicating without words, expressing a simple intrinsic reality that words do not always convey. Paintings and sculptures express an inherent reality in a simple way. The therapeutic process emerges through creative activity in relation to the artwork and the art therapist. Art therapy makes an important contribution to healthcare.
Painting with the non-dominant hand promotes mindful creation by disabling the "value filter" in the brain and better anchoring the process. Painting while standing activates the whole body, both physically and artistically.
